May we introduce ourselves. The Puppytime Training Team are a group of dog trainers based in Cheltenham, in the UK. We organise classes to teach people how to train their puppies to behave in a socially acceptable way. Being affiliated to the Kennel Club we provide a platform for the K.C. Puppy Foundation Assessment and in our late classes offer training and support for people who wish to take the Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards up to Gold Level.

The methods we use nowadays are far removed from the outdated way of  " Phideaux will do it because I told him! "  approach which is now totally unacceptable. Forget the technical jargon, we like to call our method of teaching the love and kindness approach by using treats to reward good behaviour . We think everyone will understand this. So we train gently with a smile.

Prior to registration we encourage prospective clients to come along to observe our sessions with their family and new puppy, vaccinations allowing. Our class intake is on a strictly first come first serve basis, we ask for full payment at registration to guarantee your place.

We begin a new puppy course on the first Wednesday of each month apart from December, when we close down for a month restarting in January. Puppy classes are held at St Lukes Church Hall in Cheltenham on Wednesday evenings. Starting at 6.30pm finishing at 7.30pm for the first month and 7.30pm finishing at 8.30pm for the second month.

Also at the same venue on Wednedays from 8.30pm to 9.30pm we hold more advanced classes for anyone wishing to continue training after completing the puppy course. This class is not a course as such but organised on a drop in basis and geared for owners aspiring to complete The Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards.

Due to the continuing overwhelming demand for training places we urge registration for our courses as early as possible. Perhaps even before bringing your new puppy home.
